5th annual stand down
The first stand down meeting took place January 5, 2023 to prepare for a hosts of Veterans events to include the 5th Annual Stand Down. Veterans are encouraged to attend this monthly meeting and be part of the preparations. One of those spots at the table belongs to YOU!

The meetings and preparations for "STAND DOWN 2023" have started and are on the FIRST Thursday of each month 10-1pm
STAND DOWN 2023 will be on SAT, July 15th - opening ceremony at 8 a.m.
** Coffee & Donuts in the morning
** Lunch meal for Veterans
** Distribution of Food, Clothing, Supplies
** VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
** Event runs til surplus runs out
** And don't forget the Veterans Outreach happens every Thursday 10-1 pm
VETERANS OUTREACH THURSDAYS This is a special day of the week for veterans.
A special place for all Veterans. There is a warm welcome here. Come and have a cup of coffee and a donut with fellow Veterans. Sit a spell. The support you need. A quiet place to sit and think. Computer access. Books to read. And the last Thursday of the month the Veterans Bus is here, just for you. Questions, comments and concerns addressed. There is a support system here for you at Hospitality House of Newport, WA.
WELCOME HOME VETERANS
QUILTS OF HONOR Meets the 1st Tuesday and 3rd Friday of the Month 11-4 pm
Darlene Mossman is the Group Leader. Her group started in June 2018 and she started it with her husband Shannon, a retired Navy Veteran.
He does the quilting and the ladies of the group do tops, balling, backing, etc.
Currently there are 15 people who are active in the group.
Ann Wilponen puts together the kits with the fabric and pattern.
